When the rainy season touches the tropics, a new type of magic begins. It's a world full of incredible colours, balmy nights, and delicious rain. Getting sticky in Palm Cove from December through March is a must-do. It's a different look and feel that needs to be experienced.
Here are some things you must try in the wet tropics:
Waterfall tour
Swimming in the rain
Relaxing massage
Reading a good book in a cafe as the rain falls
Spectacular Waterfalls
Our waterfalls are numerous and amazing, and they are best viewed in the wet season. No surprises there! A self-drive tour is a great way to spend a day or two doing the famous waterfall circuit. A perfect day trip could take in Baron Falls, Millaa Millaa Falls, Zillie Falls, and Ellinjaa Falls. Stay overnight in the picturesque tablelands and add Josephine Falls and the Babinda Boulders the next day on your way back to Palm Cove.
